Our ceremony and reception will be held at Bringalbit Homestead, fifteen kilometres from the friendly town of Kyneton, and about an hour ‘s drive north west of the Melbourne CBD.

Set in a classic Australian landscape – the granite foot hills of the Great Dividing Range – the 1870′s granite Bringalbit Homestead nestles at the heart of ten acres of historic lawns and hedges, orchards and rose gardens, grand old conifers,  oak trees and a lake – the perfect setting for our celebration.

Address:
Bringalbit Country Retreat
512 Sidonia Rd, Sidonia via Kyneton
Vic, 3444

The town of Kyneton and surrounding areas have accommodation to suit all budgets, however at that time of year you need to get in quick! We highly recommend booking sooner rather than later as the Easter school holidays follow soon after the wedding and this is a popular holiday destination. Do it now to avoid having to camp at the farm.

If you are renting a house please consider offering spare rooms to friends or family also attending the wedding to ensure everyone gets a bed close by.

This area has many attractions for lovers of wine and food, including award winning cafes and restaurants, vineyards and wineries, as well as art and craft galleries, boutiques, antique shops and museums for the culture vultures. There are gorgeous landscapes at every turn and wonderful experiences to be had in the great outdoors – including at Hanging Rock (where John popped the question) and Mount Macedon – and perhaps we’ll even enjoy some early autumn colour!

Click the links below to see what’s available. We also recommend just doing a google search for accommodation in that area, a lot of owners around there aren’t very tech savvy.

Driving’s for suckers! We have organised several buses to take you to and from the venue so that you can head home for an early one or stay and rage (choose rage) .

Buses will be picking people up from the Royal George Hotel, 21 Piper St, Kyneton at 2.15PM & 2.45PM. After you RSVP below and let us know you’d like to take the bus, we’ll allocate a time for you and let you know before the day. Get to the pub a little early for a cheeky drink to avoid holding the bus up.

Buses will be returning to Kyneton at 10PM, 11.30PM & 1AM. Whichever time you choose, the driver will drop you at your house provided you’re staying in the immediate Kyneton area.

Please be sure to provide your accommodation address below when you RSVP. If you don’t know where you’re staying yet, please let us know your address by the end of February.

Parking will be available on the property for those not planning to ride the Matrimony Express.

The most precious thing you can give us is the gift of your time to celebrate this day with us.

But, if you insist…

We already own almost everything we could need, so instead of getting us a present we’d love if you would consider contributing towards the funds for our first home.

We’ll be heading back to the Royal George Hotel at 12.30pm on the Sunday. We’d love it if you could join us for some food and a beer (or a soft drink if you celebrated too hard).

This is a very photo friendly wedding, we encourage you to take lots of photos and tag them with #tillyandjohn
